The third edition of the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup will be held in Amsterdam from July 7-9. Both events will be hosted by the Dutch Basketball Federation (NBB) and organized by TIG Sports and the House of Sports (FIBA).

Northern Ireland will take on New Zealand in a friendly encounter at Windsor Park on June 2. The Belfast game will be "used as preparation" for a 2018 World Cup qualifier away against Azerbaijan eight days later. Northern Ireland Manager Michael O'Neill revealed that preparations for the trip to Azerbaijan will include two training camps in Britain before the game against the All Whites, followed by an overseas training camp (BBC, 2/13).

Conor McGregor's first scheduled public appearance in Dublin since becoming the undisputed UFC lightweight champion has been canceled. Full refunds will be provided for the €104 ($110)-per-head event, "which was due to go ahead this Friday." A statement from the Red Cow Moran Hotel confirmed that the event was "off due to an unforeseen schedule clash" with McGregor in Las Vegas on Friday (IRISH INDEPENDENT, 2/13).

Carl Frampton's hopes of Belfast hosting a third fight against Leo Santa Cruz have been "dealt a blow" after comments from the world champion. Santa Cruz regained the featherweight title last month after winning the rematch with Frampton, who wants a "trilogy fight in his home city." Jose Santa Cruz, the father and trainer of the Mexican, has advised his son not to take on Frampton in Belfast. Santa Cruz said, "If he says no, I wouldn't go there. I do what he tells me" (BBC, 2/13).

The Int'l Blind Sports Federation announced the beginning of the bid process for the 2019 World Games. All IBSA member countries interested in hosting the event must complete an expression of interest form on IBSA's website and return it by March 15. This will be the sixth edition of the event (IPC).

Women's Super League One club Yeovil Town Ladies is to play its home games in the 2017 WSL Spring Series at "three different grounds around Somerset, rather than just Huish Park."
