U.S. Business Consor Offers Argentine FA $336M Per Year For TV Rights

Argentine FA Normalization Committee Chair Armando Pérez addressed the club's negotiations with broadcasters, according to Alejandro Casar González of LA NACION. He said, "There is a third offer, which is in English, and we are not done reviewing it." Pérez "did not share details of the offer," which could have an "immediate consequence: the offers from Fox-Turner and ESPN could increase." In this case, "the beneficiaries would be the clubs, which would receive more money for the rights to the first division." The third offer, being presented by U.S. business Consor, is reportedly worth $336M per year, which is 80% more than Fox-Turner's offer of 3B Argentine pesos ($190M) and 69% more than ESPN's offer of 3.2B Argentine pesos ($200M) (LA NACION, 2/2).
