The final, which France won 33-26, did not break the record for French handball, which was set at the 2015 World Cup final between France and Qatar. That match drew 9.1 million viewers. France vs. Norway was also broadcast on pay-TV channel beIN Sports, which drew an average of 925,000 viewers and a peak audience of 1.15 million (L’ÉQUIPE, 1/30).
