Media Notes: Reality Check Systems Partners With WTA For Media Broadcasts

As part of a three-year deal, Reality Check Systems is lending its graphics expertise and technology to 29 WTA Media tennis broadcasts this season. WTA Media is a joint venture between Perform Group and the Women's Tennis Association. RCS' partnership with WTA Media went on air Jan. 1 (RCS). 

The French Football Federation launched the tender process for the commercialization of the audiovisual rights to the Coupe de France for the ’18-19 through ’21-22 seasons. Interested parties have until Feb. 10 to respond (FFF).

The France vs. Norway 2017 Handball World Championships group-stage match drew an average audience of 596,000 viewers on beIN Sports. BeIN Sports recorded a peak audience of 865,000 for the match, which France won 31-28 (L’ÉQUIPE, 1/17).

The 2017 Dakar Rally, broadcast on France 4, drew an average audience of 600,000 viewers throughout the competition. From Jan. 2-14, France Télévision drew a total audience of 7.5 million, and the numbers translated to a market share of 3.2% (L’ÉQUIPE, 1/16).
