Thai Energy Drink Brand Osotspa To Invest $3M In Two-Year Football Sponsorship

Thai energy drink brand Osotspa will invest $3M in a two-year football sponsorship deal across Indochina, according to ASIA SPONSORSHIP NEWS. The brand, which was in the news for "illegal anti-competitive retail prices last year," is convinced the "sizeable football sponsorship will be instrumental in rebuilding its brand and market share" across Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. Under the deal, Osotspa's M-150 energy drink will provide $1.5M to the FA of Thailand (FTA), of which $1.2M is allocated for supporting Thai football and $300,000 for promoting the Thai national and football league competitions. In return, M-150 will become a title sponsor for the second-tier Thai League 2 and co-sponsor for the Thai League and Thai national football team. It will also be the inaugural regional sponsor of the M-150 Cup, a new tournament slated for this year involving the national teams of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (ASIA SPONSORSHIP NEWS, 1/16).
