Marketplace Roundup: Irish Airline Ryanair Pokes Fun At Pep Guardiola, Jürgen Klopp

Irish airline Ryanair sent out tweets "poking fun" at both Man City Manager Pep Guardiola and Liverpool Manager Jürgen Klopp on Sunday after Man City lost to Everton and Liverpool's match against ManU ended in a 1-1 tie (SPORT, 1/16).

EuroLeague Basketball announced Oscar Mayer as a new partner. Oscar Mayer agreed to a multi-year deal that will make it a regional partner in Spain for EuroLeague and EuroCup games. As part of the partnership, Oscar Mayer plans to have digital engagement based on content with its own dedicated website, oscarmayerbasketexperience.com, where fans can take part in weekly contests (EuroLeague).

Constantin Medien is set to offer its clients and partners integrated, independent media consulting through a separate consulting unit from '17. Simon Trägner -- managing director of German sponsorship agency akzio! through the end of '16 -- will join the Constantin Medien Group as managing director of the new department, effective Feb. 1. Also joining as managing director will be Matthias Reichert, currently director of media sales clients at marketer Sport1 Media GmbH. Both will report to Constantin Medien COO Sports Olaf Schröder. The new business unit will be integrated into creative agency LEITMOTIF Creators GmbH (Constantin Medien).

Nico Rosberg has returned to Mercedes for '17 with the Formula 1 world champion "accepting a role as ambassador for the team." Rosberg "stunned" the grand prix world after retiring just five days after landing the drivers' crown. The German will immediately be reunited with his "old title rival" and teammate Lewis Hamilton. His first engagement in his new role will be in Geneva on Tuesday alongside the three-time champion at the Salon Int'l de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) "on behalf of Mercedes' team partner IWC Schaffhausen" (London DAILY MAIL, 1/16).
