Franchise Notes: Sydney FC Confirms Korea-Bound Matt Jurman's Transfer

A-League side Sydney FC’s championship aspirations "have copped a massive blow with confirmation defender Matt Jurman has played his final game for the club and will move overseas." The club on Tuesday announced it accepted a transfer fee from "an Asian club, believed to be in Korea," for Jurman. The move ensures the team is "financially rewarded for helping develop the 27-year-old" (AAP, 1/2).

Paris St. Germain completed the signing of Germany int'l Julian Draxler in a £34M ($41.6M) deal from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg. Draxler, "who had been a long-time target of Arsenal, has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with PSG" -- committing his future to the club until '21 (London DAILY MAIL, 1/3).
