London Daily Mirror Editor ED MALYON announced on his Facebook page that he is leaving the Mirror to become sports editor at the London Independent. Malyon: "From January I will be sports editor at the Independent. It's a huge opportunity for me to build a new sports department that is already blessed with some very talented people. Thanks to everyone at the Mirror for everything, a place where I've met lifelong friends" (SBD Global). ... Ligue 1 side Nantes signed SERGIO CONCEIÇÃO to a two-year contract to manage the club. The former Portugal int’l, 42, began coaching in ’10 with Belgian side Standard de Liège before moving to Primeira Liga sides Sporting Braga and Vitoria Guimarães. He replaces PHILIPPE MAO (Nantes).
