As part of the new deal, which will now run until the end of the '17-18 season, Wiesenhof's logo "will continue to be featured on the front of the club's jersey." Second Bundesliga side FC Kaiserslautern signed a multiyear deal with local car dealership Torpedo Group. As part of the deal, which includes various marketing and hospitality packages, the dealership will provide the club with vehicles of brands Hyundai and Land Rover (FC Kaiserslautern).
Handball Bundesliga (HBL) side Bergischer HC renewed its deal with auto industry supplier WKW automotive until June 30, 2021. As part of the extension, WKW's logo will be featured on the team's jerseys. The company will also receive increased hospitality and ticket packages (Bergischer HC).
Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) club Brose Bamberg and car rental provider Sixt have agreed to a three-year partnership. As part of the agreement, Sixt will use its brands Sixt rent a car and Sixt Neuwagen to activate the partnership at Brose Bamberg home games. In addition, Sixt's logo will be visible on the players' shorts (Brose Bamberg).
TAG Heuer has been named the "official timekeeper and official watch" of the World Rugby Sevens Series '16-17. Launched as the first day of the Dubai Sevens got underway, TAG Heuer countdown clocks can be seen at each match, halftime and full-time. On big screens in the stadium, TAG Heuer will also count down to kickoff (AROUND THE RINGS, 12/1).
The Volvo Ocean Race has appointed travel management and events business ATPI Sports Events as its global official hospitality agency for the '17-18 edition. As the race’s official hospitality agency, ATPI Sports Events -- part of the ATPI Group -- will be responsible for the development, execution and sales of a number of selected hospitality experiences around the race stopovers (TRAVEL DAILY NEWS, 12/2).
