Franchise Notes: Andrea Radrizzani Remains In Talks With Leeds United Owner

Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani remains in talks with League Championship side Leeds United Owner Massimo Cellino "about investing in the club" after being spotted at Sunday's home game against Newcastle. Radrizzani began negotiations with Cellino in August and his appearance at Elland Road has fueled hope among fans that "he may be close to a deal with his compatriot." Radrizzani is a founder of MP & Silva, and is "keen to become involved" at the club. Cellino "has refused to comment on the negotiations" (London DAILY MIRROR, 11/21).

Central League baseball club Hiroshima Carp announced Monday it will donate 500M yen ($4.5M) to its home city of Hiroshima after "winning the Central League pennant for the first time in 25 years." The club said that 400M yen ($3.6M) "will be allotted to maintain playing fields for youth baseball teams," and 100M yen ($900,000) to preserve the Hiroshima Peace Memorial or the Atomic Bomb Dome (KYODO, 11/21).

The Paris St. Germain foundation announced that in cooperation with Secours Populaire, the organizations invited 50 refugees to watch the PSG match against Nantes at Parc des Princes on Saturday. PSG Foundation Dir Christine Le Gal said, “We have been working with Secours Populaire for more than a year now, especially in Val d’Oise, and we are proud to provide these families the help to get out of their difficult daily lives” (PSG).
