Alejandro Blanco Says 2017 Tarragona Mediterranean Games Could Be Delayed

Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) President Alejandro Blanco warned that the 2017 Tarragona Mediterranean Games "perhaps will not be held" in '17, but delayed, according to the EFE. Blanco indicated that at a meeting this weekend, the Mediterranean Games Int'l Committee "will put on the table the option of changing the date." The meeting will be attended by Tarragona, Spain Mayor Josep Félix Ballesteros. Blanco: "Spain will organize the Games, but preferably not in 2017" (EFE, 11/3).
