Tire Brand Bridgestone Renews Sponsorship With FIS Alpine Ski World Cup

Japanese tire brand Bridgestone "has renewed its sponsorship of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup," according to Holger Rehm of SPONSORs. The company "will have a marketing presence at more than 30 world cup races spread across 17 weekends." The agreement provides Bridgestone "with a presence in seven European countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Finland and Sweden." The brand "already activated its partnership at the season opener in Sölden, Austria, on Oct. 22-23." The Bridgestone logo "will be featured on various locations, including the start house, gates, starting bibs and on signage along the course." The Japanese company is expected to pay around €750,000 ($818,000) annually for the rights. Bridgestone "has been a partner of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup since '11" (SPONSORs, 10/26).
