FFT Partners With Start-Up Mojjo For New Online Experience During 2017 Roland Garros

The French Tennis Federation and tech start-up Mojjo announced tennismojjo, an online platform “used by fans and broadcasters for instant analysis of matches,” will be in place for the 2017 Roland Garros, according to SPORT STRATEGIES. Already a partner with a number of French tennis clubs, Mojjo has partnered with the FFT to be “present at professional tournaments.” FFT Media Dir Emilie Montané and Mojjo co-Founder Emmanuel Witvoet unveiled the “outlines for the device for the 2017 French Open.” Tested at the venue since ’15, the video player “Roland-Garros powered by Mojjo” generates “match summaries just minutes after the final point,” via a single camera placed courtside. The summary is “created by an automated algorithm.” The program identifies “key moments during the match (break, set and match points) as well as the best shots thanks to analysis of crowd reactions.” Witvoet said, “Thanks to our easily installed technology we can transform the tennis experience for fans throughout the world. … This partnership between Mojjo and the FFT will allow tennis to push into the digital era” (SPORT STRATEGIES, 10/24).
