German Public Broadcasters ARD, ZDF Secure Euro 2020 Rights For $168M

German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF "have secured the broadcast rights for Euro 2020," according to the DPA. The broadcasters acquired an extensive rights package for the tournament from UEFA through their sports rights agency SportA. ARD and ZDF will show all 51 games of Euro 2020, which will be played across 13 countries to celebrate the competition's 60th anniversary. The rights also include digital, social media and radio rights. The public broadcasters reportedly paid an estimated €150M ($168M) for the rights. ARD and ZDF did not confirm the figure.
