Man City Reportedly Looking To Acquire Chinese Super League Club

After investing in franchises in the U.S., Australia and Japan, Man City "now wants to enter the Asian market, specifically China," according to Miguel Pérez of SPORT. Man City is "studying the possibility of acquiring a top Chinese Super League club that would serve as an affiliate in China in an effort to further export the brand throughout the world." The club has reportedly "already been in contact with a club in Beijing and one in Shanghai to try to reach an acquisition agreement" (SPORT, 9/27).
