Aldi Ireland Partners With Irish Rugby Football Union; FFA Announces Aldi-MiniRoos Deal

Aldi Ireland formed a new partnership with the Irish Rugby Football Union that will see Aldi provide a substantial investment to support "Play Rugby," and replaced AIA Vitality as the naming rights partner of Football Federation Australia's Miniroos. "Play Rugby" is a national IRFU initiative for school children over the next four years. Aldi Play Rugby will assist teachers, coaches and parents involved in rugby at primary school level to develop a rugby program in their schools. The IRFU and Aldi aim to increase the number of children participating in the initiative to over 100,000 by '18. The initiative will provide equipment, tools and a training course for teachers, coaches and parents.

NAMING RIGHTS DOWN UNDER: Aldi's partnership with the FFA will begin Jan. 1. It will also be the official partner and supermarket of the W-League. The deal is for a three-year period, with an option to extend at the end of the term (Aldi).
