Eurosport Launches Service Featuring Top Players Giving Fans US Open Wake-Up Call

As part of its marketing campaign to promote its coverage of the US Open, Eurosport is helping fans across Europe wake up in time to see all the action from the US Open. Fans can choose a concierge style wake-up call from a number of players including Andy Murray, Garbiñe Muguruza, Angelique Kerber and Simona Halep to get them out of bed and switch on to Eurosport to watch their games. Fans in France, the U.K., Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and Romania can sign up to the service. The link is available at http://wakeupcall.eurosport.com/en. Five minutes before play, registrants will receive a phone call from one of the players. Eurosport VP of Marketing & Franchise Management Antonio Ruiz said, "Many matches are played late into the night in Europe and it’s difficult for tennis fans to keep up-to-date on the order of play. So we thought the best way to ensure tennis lovers don’t miss out, is to receive a five-minute warning call." Eurosport's coverage will be available across Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and Eurosport Player (Eurosport).
