Premiership rugby side Bristol Rugby Dir ANDY ROBINSON has "signed a new three-year deal with the club," ahead of its first season back in the Premiership since '09. The Former England and Scotland national team boss "has been with Bristol" since '13. Robinson "guided the club to promotion from the Championship in May" (BBC, 8/25). ... Just Marketing Int'l named KIRSTEN DOBBIE director of partnership development. Dobbie previously worked on multi-platform and integrated sponsorship opportunities at Disney (JMI). ... Futures Sport + Entertainment will expand its operation in the U.S. with the addition of Senior Analyst LANGDON QUIN. He will lead Futures' research and data analytics efforts for U.S.-based clients, working under Futures Americas GM CATIE GRIGGS. Prior to moving to the Norwalk, Connecticut, offices, Langdon worked in Futures' London HQ for five years as an analyst, utilizing his data mining and business intelligence experience to provide clients with tailored data, research and solutions (Futures). ... SHEIKH FAHD JABER AL-ALI has been neamed as the new head of the Kuwaiti Olympic committee, "replacing SHEIKH TALAL FAHAD AL-SABAH." FAWAZ AL-HASSAWI has been "chosen to lead the football association." The move "comes 10 months after the Gulf state was suspended" by the IOC and FIFA over government interference in sports (AFP, 8/25).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia named Romanian EDWARD IORDANESCU its coach in an attempt to revive its "fortunes following a mediocre start to the season." The 38-year-old, son of former Romania coach ANGHEL IORDANESCU, replaced HRISTO YANEV, "who resigned on Sunday" (REUTERS, 8/23). ... RUBEN MAGNANO is "no longer the head coach" of the Brazilian national basketball team according to Gigantes. Magnano has "coached the team for six years." Before Brazil, Magnano "was the head coach of Argentina" and won the Silver Medal at the World Championship in '02 and the Gold Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens (EUROHOOPS, 8/24).
