Only a year after its launch, Victoria Racing's online and TV network Racing.com and CEO SCOTT PERRIN have "parted ways." Perrin, the Gold Coast businessman and former Billabong surfwear boss, "is believed to have resigned." Racing.com was formed "following the disastrous TVN collapse 18 months ago." Perrin's departure comes after senior exec ANDREW BURKE "left Racing.com a few weeks ago" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 8/22). ... Investment banking firm LionTree Advisors has brought on Evercore Managing Dir & co-Head of Sports Group LYLE AYES to launch a sports practice, effective Monday. Ayes began with Evercore in '13 after moving over from Morgan Stanley. While with Evercore, Ayes had a co-advisory role on the IMG sale to WME. He also has done work around the sales of the NBA Nets and PBR. Ayes was a member of the '15 SBJ/SBD "Forty Under 40" class (THE DAILY). ... Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment named IMG College Dir of National Sales KELLEN BENJAMIN VP/global partnerships (BS&E). ... Three former Repucom -- now Nielsen Sports -- employees PHILIPP KUPFER, KAI LAFRENZ and ANDREAS ULLMANN have founded The Sports People. The three will also be the managing directors of the new sports agency. Kupfer is heading strategy and partnerships, Ullmann will lead marketing and services and Lafrenz is in charge of organization and finance (SPONSORs, 8/22).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Swiss Super League side Sion announced the nomination of PETER ZEIDLER as its new manager. Zeidler was coach of Austrian Football League side Liefering from ’12-15, and was coach of Austrian Bundesliga side Red Bull Salzburg last season. Zeidler will lead his first training session on Tuesday (FC Sion).
