Vodafone To Advertise At 11 Bundesliga Clubs This Season, Two More Than Last Year

Vodafone "has expanded its Bundesliga presence and will advertise at 11 clubs during the coming season," according to Nils Lehnebach of SPONSORs. Last season, Vodafone "had deals with nine Bundesliga clubs." The telecom has extended its deals with seven teams going into the '16-17 season: FSV Mainz, Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Augsburg, Hertha Berlin, Werder Bremen, TSG Hoffenheim and VfL Wolfsburg. Vodafone also signed new deals with Bayer Leverkusen, SC Freiburg, FC Ingolstadt and SV Darmstadt. The company did not renew its deals with FC Cologne and Hannover 96. Vodafone "does not have any deals with 2nd Bundesliga clubs this season, only sister company Otelo advertises in the second division as shirt sponsor of Fortuna Dusseldorf " (SPONSORs, 8/22).
