Media Notes: Ghana's Viasat 1 Signs Exclusive Deal To Carry Premier League

Modern Times Group channel Viasat 1 has been sub-licensed to exclusively broadcast the '16-17 season of the EPL on free-to-air TV in Ghana. The broadcaster will show live matches each Saturday. Viasat 1 will also air a highlights program on Mondays at 4pm (RAPID TV NEWS, 8/11).

A new DFB Cup App has been launched ahead of the first main round of the DFB Cup (from Aug. 19-22) by the German FA (DFB). The app is a first in the history of the competition and was developed in close collaboration with the DFB’s official marketing partner, Infront Sports & Media, and its subsidiary Omnigon. The new mobile platform delivers infotainment, engagement and service benefits through a comprehensive selection of multimedia content. It was released in both German and English (Infront).
