Constantin Medien Reports Group Sales Up 34.9% In First Half Of '16

Constantin Medien Group continued the positive operating trend from the previous year in the first half of '16. The media company's group sales stood at €264M ($294M), an increase of 34.9% against the same period last year. Profit from operations (EBIT) increased to €11M ($12.26M) after €9.7M in the same period last year (+13.4%). SPORT1 platforms continued to achieve good coverage and access figures in the first six months. In particular, the access figures in the mobile area and the video views improved. Sports and Event Marketing with marketing company TEAM increased the six-months sales in '16 by 28.2% to €26.8M ($29.9M). The growth is a result of the successful marketing of the UEFA club competitions for the '15-16 to '17-18 seasons. Segment results disproportionately increased by 34.2% from €7.9M to €10.6M ($11.8M) (Constantin Medien).
