Media Notes: Sky Deutschland Signs Deal With Liverpool, Manager Jürgen Klopp

German pay-TV network Sky Deutschland has signed a long-term partnership with Liverpool and club Manager Jürgen Klopp. The former Borussia Dortmund coach will become the network's newest brand ambassador. Klopp will provide Sky Deutschland with a behind-the-scenes look at his daily work at the English club and make appearances at PR events. As part of its deal with the club, Sky will be able to show Liverpool's weekly three-hour club magazine, documentaries and player interviews. The network also secured the rights to show all regular-season games of the club, along with select friendlies on time-delay (Sky Deutschland).

The preseason friendly between Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt and Seria A side Atalanta BC "aired on three platforms." One of them was the Facebook page of Eintracht partner Mainova AG. The game "also aired on Frankfurt's club TV platform, called Eintracht.TV, as well as on the club's Facebook page." The club said that the game "drew around 100,000 viewers across all three platforms, along with 1.1 million people worldwide on Saturday evening." The club produced the game in collaboration with Unas Media Productions (SPONSORs, 8/10).
