English Football League Launches #EFLStories Campaign
To mark the start of the new football season, the English Football League has launched its #EFLStories campaign to tell the stories of all the people who help make the EFL what it is. Launching with an #EFLStories video, over the course of the '16-17 season the EFL will share individual accounts from fans, players, managers, club staff and a club mascot or two. Across the opening two weekends of the season, the first 72 people featured on the #EFLStories website will deliver their club's new Mitre match ball to the pitch at the first home game of the season. All #EFLStories can be viewed at eflstories.com and EFL fans at home and abroad are being invited to submit the reasons they love the game to the site.
FIGHTING CANCER: The EFL announced its charity partnership with Prostate Cancer UK will continue until '18. The men's health charity has been affiliated with the EFL since '12, and official charity partner of the EFL since the '13-14 campaign, with the two organizations working together to raise vital awareness of a disease that affects one in eight men in the U.K. and raised over £2M ($2.6M) to date for vital research (EFL).
