Auto Motor Und Sport Channel Joins UPC In Eastern Europe

German car and motor sports channel auto motor und sport channel "expanded its reach in Eastern Europe," according to Jörn Krieger of BROADBAND TV NEWS. The pay-TV channel "launched on UPC platforms in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic." The carriage contract signed with UPC "comprises distribution on the operator’s cable networks, DTH satellite and IPTV services -- in total seven platforms in four countries." The channel "can now be received in a total of 20 countries including Russia." In many regions, the programs "are offered in the local language, for example in Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 7/21).
