Finance Notes: Deltatre Takes Full Ownership Of U.K.-Based Subsidiary Deltatre Media

As part of the acquisition of a majority stake by Bruin Sports Capital, deltatre has taken full ownership of deltatre Media, deltatre’s U.K. subsidiary, buying out Paul Bristow’s minority share. Bristow co-founded deltatre Media in '02 and led the growth of the company into new sports including rugby, golf, cricket and the Olympic Games (deltatre).

Father and son duo Ian and Trevor Hughes have landed a £250,000 ($275,500) investment "to ramp up the retail operations at their high-end cycling business," Vielo Sports. Gaining funding from the Finance For Business North East Growth Fund, the Gateshead-based company "is looking to increase this number of retailers it manages in its network from 42 to 50." The firm "is also considering an expansion to larger premises whilst also increasing the number of stocks it currently holds" (BDAILY, 7/20).
