Premiership side Worcester Warriors confirmed Rugby Dir DEAN RYAN "has left" the club. The 50-year old former Bristol, Newcastle Falcons and England player guided the Warriors "to promotion from the Championship" in '15. Ryan has "recently been linked with a move to Premiership rivals Bath." Worcester confirmed its senior management team to replace Ryan will consist of head coach CARL HOGG and High Performance Dir NICK JOHNSTON (BBC, 6/30). ... Former Barcelona basketball player RODRIGO DE LA FUENTE is the new sporting director of Barcelona's basketball team. He replaces JOAN CREUS. De la Fuente, 39, had occupied since October the position of technical secretary, one level below Creus. His first task will be to choose the team's new coach (AS, 6/30).

COACHES/MANAGERS: VICENTE DEL BOSQUE has resigned as Spain head coach after eight years in the role. The 65-year-old, who led his country to victory at the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012, "was expected to step down" after Spain was eliminated from Euro 2016 at the last-16 stage on Monday (SKY SPORTS, 6/30). ... Premier League side Southampton appointed former Ligue 1 side Nice Manager CLAUDE PUEL as its new manager. The 54-year-old Frenchman, who left Nice in May after four years in charge, "signed a three-year contract with Saints." He replaces RONALD KOEMAN, "who took over at Everton" on June 16 (BBC, 6/30). ... LEONID SLUTSKY has "stepped down as head coach of Russia after the 2018 World Cup hosts were knocked out at the group stage of Euro 2016." Slutsky, who also manages CSKA Moscow, "succeeded FABIO CAPELLO in charge of the national team" in Aug. '15 (BBC, 6/30). ... The Czech FA announced that Czech national team Manager PAVEL VRBA quit the job and "signed a contract" with Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala. Vrba, 52, joined the national side in Jan. '14. The Czech "takes over from RUSLAN AGALAROV, who resigned from his position last month" (REUTERS, 6/30).
