Indonesian Pop Artist Designs Coca Cola Germany National Team Player Cans

As part of its promotional efforts for Euro 2016, Coca-Cola Germany is collaborating with Solo, Indonesia-based visual artist Gilang Bogy to "produce portraits of German football players in his distinctive pop art style," according to Ratri Siniwi of the JAKARTA GLOBE. The Indonesian artist, whose work was discovered through his Instagram account (@gilangbogy), "has been trending in the local social media scene for his top shot international exposure." Gilang said, "I was contacted directly through email by Coca-Cola Germany. They found me on Instagram and through my online portfolios." Coca-Cola Indonesia said that Gilang's designs "will be part of Coca-Cola Germany’s limited collection items, with the soft drink giant looking into more collaborations with the artist in the future" (JAKARTA GLOBE, 6/29).
