Air France Joins Paris 2024 Olympics Bid As Official Partner

Int’l carrier Air France pledged its support to the Paris 2024 bid for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and will become an official partner of the bid. It was also announced that a selection of Air France planes will display the Paris 2024 logo on 10,000 flights during the campaign through the IOC Host City decision in Lima, Peru in Sept. ’17. Air France will also run a marketing campaign to endorse the values and culture of French sport and the bid will be promoted in in-flight magazines and in airport lounges worldwide (Paris 2024). In Paris, Sandrine Lefèvre reported one Airbus A380 and two Boeing 777s with destinations in Asia, the Americas and Africa as well as seven Airbus A320s with destinations in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East “will fly with the Paris 2024 logo.” Air France CEO Frédéric Gagey said, “We transported the flame from London to Rio and we are the official transporter of the 2016 French Olympic team. This shows how proud Air France is to support the Paris bid to host the 2024 Games.” The Paris 2024 bid has "already registered 12 partnership signatures and should record three new arrivals in the coming weeks" (LE PARISIEN, 6/28).
