Football Notes: Real Madrid's ICC Matches Nearly Sold Out

Real Madrid will travel to the U.S. this summer for the Int'l Champions Cup, where it will play in Columbus, Ohio; Ann Arbor, Michigan and New Jersey. For Real Madrid's game vs. Paris St. Germain in Columbus, 96.5% of the tickets at the 104,944-seat Ohio Stadium have been sold, with only 3,715 tickets available. For the match against Chelsea in Ann Arbor at the 109,318-capacity Michigan Stadium, only 2,928 tickets are available. For the third game of the tour against Bayern Munich -- which will take place at MetLife Stadium -- only 178 seats remained as of Monday (AS, 6/28).

Bundesliga club FC Schalke has taken its second step in the world of esports by announcing an FC Schalke 04 professional FIFA team following its entry into the field around a month ago. Schalke Head of Esports Tim Reichert: "The long-term aim is to create a new standard in the way that the world of esports is perceived by the public" (Schalke).
