Marketplace Roundup: 1860 Munich Renews Sponsorship Deal With MAN

Second Bundesliga side 1860 Munich renewed its sponsorship deal with truck and bus manufactuer MAN until the end of the '16-17 season. The company has been a partner of the club since '06 and became a premium partner in '14. The club did not release any fiancial details of the deal (1860 Munich).

Finance and insurance firm Guardian Group signed a three-year extension to "continue as an official partner of the Caribbean Premier League" through '18. The company "will continue to support the CPL Volunteers Programme and also fund the lucrative and popular 'Guardian Catch for Cash' across all 34 games" in the June 29 to Aug. 7 Twenty20 tournament. CPL, the Caribbean's premier T20 tournament, "is in its fourth season and will again feature six franchises" (Jamaica GLEANER, 6/20).

German 3rd League football club FSV Frankfurt "extended its deal with stadium naming-rights partner" Volksbank through the end of the '16-17 season. The club's arena "will therefore continue to be called 'Frankfurter Volksbank Stadium'" next season. The bank "has been a partner of the club since '06." Volksbank paid an estimated €550,000 ($620,000) annually for the rights "when the club competed in the 2nd Bundesliga" (SPONSORs, 6/21).
