Under Armour announced DAVE DOMBROW will return to the company in the newly created role of chief design officer, beginning Aug. 1. COACHES/MANAGERS: Spanish second division side Elche named LUCAS ALVARAZ its new coach. Elche Sporting Dir RAMÓN PLANES "had Alcaraz as his first option." The coach accepted the club's offer on Saturday, signing a two-year contract (INFORMACIÓN, 6/12). ... Saudi Arabian football club Al-Hilal's management completed the signing of Uruguayan coach GUSTAVO MATOSAS to lead Al-Hilal for one year plus a renewal option for another year (Al-Hilal). ... RAMON DIAZ’s last match in charge of Paraguay "was Saturday’s 1-0 loss" to the U.S. Just hours after falling to the U.S. and bowing out of Copa America 2016, Diaz "resigned from his position as Paraguay manager." Diaz "was appointed Paraguay boss in 2014 and led the side to the Copa semifinals last summer" (PRO SOCCER TALK, 6/12).
