Marketplace Roundup: Tottenham Names Infiniss South Korean Licensing Agent

Tottenham appointed Infiniss as its new licensing agent in South Korea. The club’s South Korean fanbase "has seen growth of nearly 30% in the last year with increased demand for Tottenham Hotspur products." Infiniss "will now work with the club to appoint licensees for Tottenham Hotspur-branded goods and accessories." The partnership "is already bringing results with SJ Trend appointed to produce club-branded apparel with a sales focus on South Korea’s popular TV shopping channel market" (FC BUSINESS, 5/31).

ADNAMS DEAL: Suffolk-based brewer Adnams "will present the Best British Rider Jersey at this summer's Aviva Women's Tour." The jersey "is presented to the leading British rider on the overall classification following each stage of the five day race." The blue and pink jersey "has been designed by Adnams and produced by official jersey partners Pro Vision Clothing and will be presented for the first time on the podium in Norwich following stage one from Southwold." Adnams "will also present the Best British Rider award in September's men's Tour of Britain" (SPORT INDUSTRY, 5/31).

Handball Bundesliga (HBL) club Rhein-Neckar Lions agreed to a new sponsorship deal with battery brand Duracell. As part of the one-year deal, Duracell's logo will be featured on the team's jersey (Rhein-Neckar Lions). Duracell "will pay a reported low six-figure sum annually for the rights" (SPONSORs, 5/31).

Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) side Eisbären Bremerhaven renewed its partnership with kit supplier Owayo for another three years until the end of the '18-19 season. Owayo has been a partner of the club since '11 (Eisbären Bremerhaven).

Hyundai signed a multiyear agreement with Golf Australia. Genesis becomes the official automotive partner of both the Emirates Australian Open and the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open, as well as supporting Golf Australia’s digital output, including www.golf.org.au and other media channels (GA).

Organizers of Coventry Motofest named Heineken "a sponsor for this year’s festival." Heineken, the name behind Strongbow, Bulmers and Foster’s, "signed a three year deal to sponsor the cultural and arts elements of the Coventry Motofest event." As one of the major sponsors for Coventry Motofest, the beer and cider company’s logos and branding "will feature across event signage, entertainment stages, online platforms and marketing materials including the Motofest event guide" (EVENT INDUSTRY NEWS, 5/31).

Medcare Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital "signed an agreement" with LaLiga Middle East, a subsidiary of La Liga, to be its official regional healthcare provider (TRADE ARABIA, 5/29).
