Racing Victoria CEO BERNARD SAUNDRY will "stand down after the 2016 spring carnival after four years in the hot seat" at an organization that has experienced "dramatic change and plenty of controversy during his time at the helm." Saundry, 54, and RVL "will part ways in December." He said, "I have made the decision that now is an appropriate time for change both for the organization and for my family." Under his watch Saundry "transformed the finances of Racing Victoria and worked tirelessly to bridge the gulf between the three metropolitan clubs -- the Moonee Valley Racing Club, the Victoria Racing Club and the Melbourne Racing Club -- and Racing Victoria" (THE AGE, 5/26). ... Int'l marketer KATJA HEIM, named one of the most influential women in Formula One, "is expected to become chief operating officer at Circuit of the Americas." Heim, 56, is CEO and founder of KHP Consulting. COTA Chair BOBBY EPSTEIN said, "Katja is our soon-to-be-named COO and has been consulting in an increasingly more active role for COTA since its inception" (AUSTIN AMERICAN STATESMAN, 5/25). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: New Zealand Cricket said that national team coach MIKE HESSON extended his contract until the 2019 World Cup. His deal was "due to expire in April next year but NZC said he will be staying on until the end of the next World Cup," to be staged in England and Wales from May-July '19. NZC said that it also "retained the services" of batting coach CRAIG MCMILLAN, Manager MIKE SANDLE and strength and conditioning coach CHRIS DONALDSON (AFP, 5/26). ... French Pro A basketball club Pau-Lacq-Orthez Manager ERIC BARTECHEKY “extended his one-year contract” until ’18. Bartecheky arrived at the club in ’15 and “took the team to the quarterfinals” this past season (LE FIGARO, 5/26). ... Former Ligue 2 side Ajaccio Manager CHRISTIAN BRACCONI “has joined Sochaux, as the club’s assistant manager.” He replaces OMAR DAF, “who will take control of the reserve team” (L’ÉQUIPE, 5/26). ... French national men’s volleyball team Manager LAURENT TILLIE extended his contract until ’20. Tillie led the Bleus to victory at the 2015 Volleyball World League and the 2015 European Championship. The extension “represents a vote of confidence from the French Volleyball Federation” ahead of the Rio Games (LE FIGARO, 5/26). ... RICARDO ZIELINSKI ended his tenure as coach of Argentine first division side Belgrano following a meeting with club President ARMANDO PÉREZ. Zielinski had been with the club for more than five years (CLARÍN, 5/25).
