AMAIA GOROSTIZA on Monday was named the new president of La Liga side Eibar, replacing ALEX ARANZÁBAL. Gorostiza "becomes the second female president of a La Liga club, joining Valencia's LAY HOON CHAN." She is the team's first female president in its 75-year history (AS, 5/24). ... Serie A side Bologna announced that Sporting Dir PANTALEO CORVINO "has left the club." The Rossoblu "survived in Serie A during their debut season after returning from Serie B." The club said, “Bologna FC 1909 ... reached an agreement with Pantaleo Corvino for the termination of his contract" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 5/23). ... Serie A side Fiorentina "confirmed the departure" of Sporting Dir DANIELE PRADE, clearing the way for Corvino’s return. Corvino left Bologna, and there "has been speculation for several weeks now that he will return to the Viola." Prade’s contract "will expire on June 30, but Corvino could be confirmed before then so he can start working on the summer transfer campaign" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 5/24). ... Monday was the last day for Fox Sports Senior VP/Communications LOU D'ERMILIO, VP/Communications DAN BELL and Dir of Communications ILEANA PENA, three of the company's highest-ranking and longest-serving execs. All three accepted a buyout package and their departure ends a two-decade run that saw the trio handle all of Fox Sports' communications since the division was launched (THE DAILY). ... New Era named MARK MAIDMENT VP/creative, JOSH FEINE VP/sports marketing & corporate partnerships, JOSH CREASMAN VP/global supply chain and LORENZ GAN VP/IT (New Era).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Ligue 1 side Nice Manager CLAUDE PUEL and club officials met on Tuesday to "finalize the terms" for a two-year contract extension. But on Tuesday afternoon, "the club announced Puel was leaving the club." The announcement brings an end to Puel's four years with the club (L’ÉQUIPE, 5/24). ... Nice named LUCIEN FAVRE as its new manager. The Swiss signed a three-year contract and will be officially presented on Wednesday (OGC Nice). ... Former Shakhtar Donetsk Manager MIRCEA LUCESCU "has taken over as the head coach of Zenit St. Petersburg." The 70-year-old Romanian, who spent 12 years in charge of Shakhtar, "has signed a two-year contract with Zenit, with an option for a further year." Lucescu takes over from ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS, who coached the team from March '14 (REUTERS, 5/24). ... La Liga side Valencia has appointed PAKO AYESTARAN as coach until '18. The 53-year-old Spaniard "took over the first team in March until the end of the season" after former England int'l GARY NEVILLE was sacked four months into the job. Ayestaran "previously managed Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv, guiding them to the Premier League title in 2015" (REUTERS, 5/24). ... Former France and Liverpool coach GERARD HOULLIER "looks set to return to Olympique Lyonnais as general manager." Club President JEAN-MICHEL AULAS said that former Lyon players CRIS and GREGORY COUPET "would be part" of head coach BRUNO GENESIO's staff. Aulas added that Houllier's return "was subject to a medical" (REUTERS, 5/23). ... La Liga side Malaga coach JAVI GRACIA "has confirmed that he has accepted an offer to coach Russian side Rubin Kazan." Gracia "only signed a new two-year deal two months ago, but a lucrative offer from Russia has blown his Malaga salary out the water" (BEIN SPORTS, 5/24).
