ERCOLE CELLINO, son of League Championship side Leeds United Owner MASSIMO CELLINO, "has left his position on the club’s board." The 26-year-old’s role was terminated on March 28, as revealed by a Companies House release which was published on Tuesday. Ercole "outraged supporters last month after publishing a picture of his new haircut on Instragram with the Nazi-related captions, ignorant to the club’s Jewish heritage." According to the release by Companies House, however, Ercole’s "departure was finalised before the incident" (London INDEPENDENT, 5/10). ... SHASHANK MANOHAR resigned as president of the powerful Board of Control for Cricket in India on Tuesday "eyeing a second term as chief of the sport's global governing body." Manohar "has been the most powerful man in cricket, heading the world's richest cricket board" as well as being chairman of the Int'l Cricket Council. Under reforms Manohar himself "initiated within the ICC, the next chairman, to be elected later this month, must be an independent candidate with no formal links to any other country" (REUTERS, 5/10). ... French telecom TF1 announced on Tuesday the arrival of Canal+ sports journalist GRÉGOIRE MARGOTTON “to announce team France’s Euro 2016 matches.” He is the third recruit for the channel after YANN BARTHÈS and YVES CALVI. The “new voice of Les Bleus” replaces CHRISTIAN JEANPIERRE, “who held the role since ’08” (LE PARISIEN, 5/10). ... As previously reported at the beginning of the season, Ligue 2 side Stade Brestois 29 President YVONE KERMAREC “officially handed his position to DENIS LE SAINT.” After three years as president, Kermarec will “remain with the club as its 51% majority owner” (L’ÉQUIPE, 5/10). ... USOC committee member and four-time Olympian ANGELA RUGGIERO has been named chief strategy officer of L.A. 2024. Ruggiero will draw upon her experience as an Olympian and her six years as an IOC member serving on numerous commissions -- including five currently. Ruggiero competed in four Olympic Games with the U.S. Olympic Ice Hockey Team and won four medals, including a Gold at the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano, Japan (LA 2024).

COACHES/MANAGERS: After coaching Ligue 2 side Paris FC, DENIS RENAUD has signed with Chamois Niortais for two years (Chamois). ... Ethiopia Football Federation has appointed GEBREMEDHIN HAILE "as interim coach" to take over from sacked YOHANNES SAHLE. The defense coach "will be in charge for the remaining 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Seychelles and Lesotho" (ETHIOS SPORTS, 5/3). ... Former EPL Sunderland and Brighton Manager GUS POYET "has agreed to take over as Real Betis head coach on a two-year deal." Poyet, who left Greek side AEK Athens last month, "had been clear favourite to become the new manager of Championship side Nottingham Forest." Poyet replaces interim head coach JUAN MERINO at the La Liga club (BBC, 5/10).
