BBL Attendance Levels Out At More Than 4,400 Per Game After Record In '14-15

The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) once again drew more than 4,400 spectators per game but failed to set a new record. The BBL's '15-16 regular season drew a total of 1,348,842 people to its 306 games, which translates into an average of 4,408. It is the third best attendance figure in league history. The BBL attendance record was set during the previous season when 1,355,923 spectators, filled the arenas. The corresponding average attendance was 4,431. The arenas were filled to 85% of their capacity across the BBL's 18 clubs. On top of the list is Alba Berlin, which drew 171,599 spectators or 10,094 on average, to its 17 home games at the Mercedes-Benz Arena (BBL).
