Rafael Nadal To Open 'Rafa Nadal Sports Centre' In Manacor, Spain

Rafael Nadal's "Rafa Nadal Sports Centre" in his birthplace of Manacor, Spain, "is close to opening," according to MUNDO DEPORTIVO. The center covers more than 40,000 square meters and includes sports facilities with the latest technology and a team of sports professionals. With a "training methodology focused on the tennis of of the future, Rafael Nadal and Toni Nadal, the director of the center, will design training that does not neglect any details." In addition to Rafael and Toni Nadal, the player's agent, Carlos Costa, "will be the center's technical director." The academy will also employ coaches Marc Gorriz, Joel Figueres, Tomeu Salvà and Joan Bosch (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 5/2). CMD SPORT reported the center's "various facilities will open one at a time from June through September." It is "expected that by September, all the facilities will be open" (CMD SPORT, 5/2).
