Marketplace Roundup: UEFA Announces Abritel-HomeAway As Euro 2016 Sponsor

UEFA announced that Abritel-HomeAway is joining the Euro 2016 commercial program as a national sponsor and will also serve as the official fans' accommodation service. Abritel-HomeAway is the first short-term rental provider to sponsor the UEFA European Football Championship. As part of the partnership, Abritel-HomeAway is increasing its inventory of short-term rental property listings in all 10 host cities in France, giving fans the opportunity to stay in an entire house or apartment during the tournament (UEFA). 

Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg renewed its partnership with beer brand Veltins for another three years until '19. Veltins has been a partner of the club since '13. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed (VfL Wolfsburg).

Online poker site Winamax “renewed its partnership” with Ligue 1 side Nantes for the ’16-17 year. The red “W” will be featured on the club’s shorts and Winamax will continue to offer supporters VIP seats at Nantes’ Beaujoire Stadium, the chance to win jerseys and a chance to play poker with the club’s players (CB NEWS, 4/13).

The French Professional League announced that Domino’s has become the title partner for the French Ligue 2 for the next four seasons. The Ligue will now be known as the Domino's Ligue 2. The media presence of Ligue 2 will give Domino’s national visibility on TV, with matches broadcast on beIN Sports and Canal+ Sport. Financial terms of the deal have not been revealed (LFP).

The British & Irish Lions and Australian insurance group QBE announced that the insurer will become a principal partner of the team for the '17 tour of New Zealand. QBE’s sponsorship of the British & Irish Lions continues the partnership within rugby internationally and currently includes sponsorship of England Rugby, North Harbour Rugby and La Unión Argentina de Rugby (British & Irish Lions).

LG Australia announced a partnership with Aussie e-sports team Dire Wolves. As the official sponsor of Dire Wolves, LG will provide team members with its latest monitors to use at upcoming competitions (LG).

SBOBET operator Celton Manx signed an agreement to become the official betting partner of League of Ireland Premier Division side St. Patrick’s. The terms of the deal will see the SBOBET betting brand promoted via the club site and at matches at Richmond Park (SBC NEWS, 4/14).
