Brazilian Bank Caixa Renews Sponsorship Deal With Brasileiro Side Corinthians

Brazilian state bank Caixa has "renewed its sponsorship deal with top-tier club Corinthians," according to SOCCEREX. Caixa has been a sponsor of the São Paulo club since '12 and "has been renewing on a year-by-year basis of late." The latest 12-month deal is worth R$30M ($8.5M), the same amount as the bank paid for its '15 deal, but "only includes inventory on the front of the Corinthians shirts, freeing up space on the back to be sold to another sponsor." Caixa is sponsoring eight Brazilian football teams in '16, "including Cruzeiro, Atlético Mineiro and Flamengo" (SOCCEREX, 4/15).
