Marketplace Roundup: Hertha Berlin Anticipates Revenue Record From '16-17 Merchandise

Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin "is anticipating a new revenue record from merchandise during the '16-17 season." Hertha Finance Dir Ingo Schiller: "We will set a merchandise record this season." He added that the main reason is the team's improved performance. Schiller expects merchandise revenue of around €4M ($4.6M). The figure would represent a 20% increase in comparison to last season's €3.3M (SPONSORs, 4/7).

Second Bundesliga club Greuther Fürth signed a new partnership with state lottery Lotto Bayern. Starting with the '16-17 season, the lottery will become an exclusive partner of the club. As part of the deal, Lotto Bayern will receive marketing opportunities and a hospitality package. Commercial terms of the deal were not released (Greuther Fürth).

Second Bundesliga club VfL Bochum has renewed its sponsorship deal with tire brand Viking for another season. The company has been a partner of the club since August. Financial terms of the deal were not revealed (VfL Bochum).

German 3rd League football club Dynamo Dresden has extended its agreement with insurance provider AOK Plus until June 30, 2019. The deal, which was brokered by Lagardère Sports, will include ad space in camera view. Financial terms were not disclosed (Lagardère Sports).

The Int'l Cycling Union (UCI) announced it has extended its partnership with GoPro. Under this agreement, which covers one year, GoPro is one of the official partners of the 2016 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup presented by Shimano and of the 2016 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Nove Mesto Na Morave, Czech Republic (cross-country), and Val di Sole, Italy (downhill and four-cross). GoPro has been a key UCI partner since '13 (UCI). 

For the fourth year in a row, Total continues its commitment with the ACO in Asia. The partnership will include both the Asian Le Mans Series and the newly created Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup. With this new partnership, Total will be associated with the whole ACO platform in Asia and will benefit from more exposure both on and off the track (Asian Le Mans Series). 

Magneti Marelli After Market Parts and Services announced a partnership agreement for the '16 season with Youthstream, promoter of the FIM Motocross World Championship. The company, represented by Magneti Marelli Checkstar brand, will be present during the MXGP championship season with numerous incentive activities and initiatives dedicated to its clients (Magneti Marelli).
