The Manos Limpias (Clean Hands) organization, on behalf of SEL Sport & Events Logistics, filed a claim in Spain's National Court against MotoGP organizer Dorna Sports, its CEO CARMELO EZPELETA and other Dorna execs for crimes against the tax authorities and fraudulent administration. The claim asks for Ezpeleta to be detained, "given the gravity of the events and the risk of him fleeing." Ezpeleta and fellow Dorna Sports exec ENRIQUE ALDAMA were fined €6.6M ($7.5M) for "grave infractions" of general tax law by Spain's Supreme Court in March (AS, 3/30). ... The Russian Cycling Federation "confirmed that two of its track riders, including a former world champion, have tested positive for Meldonium." ANASTASIA CHULKOVA, who won the points race at the '12 world track championship, and former European bronze medalist PAVEL YAKUSHEVSKY "both failed doping tests" (AP, 3/30). ... Russian Tennis Federation President SHAMIL TARPISHCHEV said that MARIA SHARAPOVA "could have her disciplinary hearing for doping in June." Sharapova has been "provisionally suspended and faces a possible ban of up to four years after testing positive for meldonium at the Australian Open in January" (AP, 3/30). ... German national cycling champion TRIXI WORRACK has "had one of her kidneys removed following a crash last week and does not know when she might be able to get back on the bike." Worrack crashed on a descent at the Trofeo Alfredo Binda WorldTour race on March 20 and, after a CT scan at a nearby hospital in Cittiglio, "she was moved to a hospital in Varese in order to undergo emergency surgery on her left kidney" (CYCLING NEWS, 3/30). ... The FA announced that Man City defender MARTIN DEMICHELIS has been "charged for misconduct in relation to betting." An FA statement said, "It is alleged the player committed 12 breaches of FA Rule E8 concerning football matches between 22 January 2016 and 28 January 2016." A worldwide ban on betting "came into force on August 1, 2014 for all those involved in the game" (ESPN, 3/30). ... Boxer DAVID HAYE "has promised to donate" 10% of ticket sales from his fight against ARNOLD GJERGJAJ to NICK BLACKWELL. The 25-year-old has been in an induced coma "since collapsing at the end of Saturday's British middleweight title defeat" by CHRIS EUBANK JR. Haye, who will face the "unknown Kosovan in the second fight of his comeback at The O2 on May 21, has vowed to contribute to help Blackwell get back on his feet" (London DAILY MIRROR, 3/30). ... Former Chelsea doctor EVA CARNEIRO will begin her first new job since leaving the club at a "specialist medical clinic in Gibraltar on Thursday." Carneiro, 42, has been out of work since leaving her role as first-team doctor at Stamford Bridge "under a cloud last year," and is still pursuing claims of constructive dismissal against Chelsea and sex discrimination against former Manager JOSE MOURINHO (ESPN, 3/30).
