Bundesliga Side Schalke Reports Record Revenue Of Close To €265M For '15
Bundesliga club FC Schalke reported a record revenue of close to €265M for the '15 fiscal year, according to Friedhelm Pothoff of DER WESTEN. Schalke Finance Dir Peter Peters said that the club generated €264.5M last season. During the '14 fiscal year, the club had a revenue of €215.3M. Peters: "The estimated increase of around €10 million surpassed and stands at €49.1 million. Also our profit from 2015 is with €22.5 million at a record high." Schalke's profit in '14 stood at €4.5M. The club was also able to reduce its financial liabilities by more than €100M ($113M), from €250M in '10 to €146M in '15. The main reason for the club's record revenue is transfer income (DER WESTEN, 3/16).
