Vietnam Football Federation Names Z.com National Team Sponsor

Japanese GMO Internet group Z.com signed a deal with the Vietnam Football Federation to sponsor the national football team, according to VIETNAMNET. After Yanmar last year, Z.com is the third Japanese corporation to sponsor the team. Under the deal, whose value and duration was "kept confidential," Z.com has the right to advertise its brand on billboards on the field "in each domestic game the national team plays" and put its logo on the team’s practice uniform. It also affirmed "support for promotional activities of the team through its website." In addition to the official sponsor, Z.com will consider other support activities and provide equipment for better training for the national team. Along with jersey sponsorship for the national team, Z.com is "also a sponsor for the national U23 team and the women's national football team." The same day, Z.com also signed a private sponsorship contract with national team player Nguyen Cong Phuong, who is on a one-year loan to J2-League football club Mito Hollyhock. Phuong will now become a representative for the Z.com brand (VIETNAMNET, 3/14).
