Bundesliga CEO Christian Seifert Warns UEFA Not To Take Talks Of Super League Lightly

Bundesliga CEO Christian Seifert "has reiterated his warning to UEFA to not take the issue of a European Super League lightly," according to Holger Rehm of SPONSORs. He also "indirectly called for an increased share of income for clubs that participate in the Champions League." Seifert: "If I would be a UEFA member, I would take the Super League topic serious. UEFA keeps a large share of the Champions League marketing income. In particular the flagship (clubs) maybe will ask at some point if that is justified." Seifert in early February said that "the creation of a possible Super League presents no danger to the Bundesliga." Bayern Munich Exec Chair Karl-Heinz Rummenigge "has brought up the issue of a Europe-wide top league multiple times." England's "Big Five" have also reportedly held talks with NFL Miami Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross about a potential Super League (SPONSORs, 3/8).
