Football Notes: Libyan FA Calls On Clubs To Prevent Threat Of Exclusion

Libyan Football Federation President Anwar Al-Tishani "warned the country risks being excluded from international football if clubs do not rise to the challenge of resuming domestic league action." As Libya struggles with rival governments, numerous militia factions and a large-scale ISIS insurgency, Al-Tishani told LFF "had done what it could to ensure the new season could kick off in March, but it was now up to the clubs" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 2/24). ... However, with an average of 42,344 spectators per match, the figure for the previous year (42,155) has been exceeded again marginally.
