Charges have been dropped against employees of Scottish Championship side Rangers administrators Duff & Phelps "in the ongoing fraud case." David Whitehouse and Paul Clark "faced a number of allegations over their involvement in Rangers." These have now been dropped but "can be brought back at a later date." Clark and Whitehouse were among seven men -- including former Rangers Owner Craig Whtye and CEO Charles Green -- "indicted on charges of alleged fraud" (SCOTSMAN, 2/22). ... Several hundred supporters of Eredivisie side Feyenoord, "angry at the club's managment, were being rounded up and detained by police on Sunday." Around a thousand supporters had been demonstrating against management, and "several hundred" were detained. Rotterdam's police department tweeted that it had stopped a group of "upset" supporters before the club's home match against Roda JC (REUTERS, 2/21). ... Premier League side West Bromwich Albion supporters are "to hold bucket collections to raise money for a charity of Chris Brunt's choice" at this Saturday's home match with Crystal Palace. Brunt was struck by a coin thrown from the away section "as he went over to give his shirt to a young Baggies supporter at the end of Saturday’s FA Cup fifth-round defeat to Reading at the Madejski Stadium." A group of up to 30 fans will collect money outside The Hawthorns ahead of Saturday evening’s match and invite the Northern Ireland int'l to "donate it to a favoured good cause" (London DAILY MAIL, 2/22).
