Marketplace Roundup: Hertha Berlin Signs Partnership With Fleesensee

Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin signed a new partnership with vacation destination Hotel- und Sportresort Fleesensee. The resort has been a partner of the club since the start of the second half of the '15-16 campaign and will receive extensive marketing opportunities during the next three home games (Hertha Berlin). ... Under Armour "is continuing its European expansion by signing a deal with German boxer Marco Huck." The 31-year-old cruiserweight boxer "will join Under Armour's team of athletes." Huck, who held the WBO title from '09-15, "has won 38-of-42 fights in his career" (ISPO, 2/16). ... Second Bundesliga club Eintracht Braunschweig "agreed to a new deal with printing provider Saxoprint." The deal "will run until the end of the current season." Saxoprint "will receive ad space on LED boards in camera view and in return take over the printing of all club publications" (SPONSORs, 2/16). ... BNP Paribas and La Poste "complete the list of official partners for the Paris 2024 Olympic bid." Both companies will provide financial support of €2M ($2.2M) "for the bid." The Paris 2024 Olympic bid organization "now has seven official partners" (FRANCE INFO, 2/16). ... Michelin was unveiled as the official title sponsor for the Australian GP. Having become the official FIM MotoGP World Championship tire supplier in '16, Michelin extends its involvement as it becomes the title sponsor of the Australian GP. Bibendum, the Michelin Man, will be in attendance at the Michelin Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix with further signage throughout the circuit (MOTO GP, 2/16). ... Brasileiro side Botafogo "signed a three-year deal with local kit manufacturer Topper." In a deal reportedly worth $10M in total, Topper "will replace long term suppliers Puma as the kit supplier for the Rio de Janeiro based club." Botafogo will honor its current deal with Puma "by continuing to wear the kit until the end of April" (SOCCEREX, 2/16). ... Viagogo extended its relationship with the Euroleague for a fourth year running. Viagogo has been the official ticket marketplace of Euroleague since Feb. '13 (viagogo). ... UFC and Toyo Tires announced their continued partnership with a multi-year extension. As the official tire of UFC, Toyo Tires branding will continue to have a presence inside the Octagon on horizontal bumpers and canvases during select events. Toyo Tires will also continue its presence on UFC.com, as well as being integrated across UFC social and digital assets (UFC).
