Int'l media group Eleven Sports Network announced the appointment of TOM MIDDLEDITCH as head of digital. Middleditch began his role on Friday and brings digital sports industry experience having spent the last 10 years working for Sky Sports. Middleditch most recently held the position of head of video, responsible for all video content across Sky Sports' digital platforms. Middleditch will report to Group Managing Dir DANNY MENKEN and will be based in Eleven Sports Network's London HQ, with direct responsibility for the strategy and development of Eleven's digital platforms, as well as content and social media channels (Eleven Sports). ... PIP MARLOW was appointed as a director of the Australian Rugby Union board. Marlow will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of MICHAEL HAWKER, which was announced at the end of last year. Marlow's professional career includes stints at Samsung Information Systems and Agate Technology before joining Microsoft in '95. At Microsoft she held various positions across the business, including GM for U.S. channel sales, director of small and medium business solutions and partners, public sector director and enterprise and partner group director (RUGBY, 2/5). ... Former La Liga side Villarreal player MARCOS SENNA is returning to the club in a position in its institutional relations department. He retired as a player for North American Soccer League club N.Y. Cosmos in November (EFE, 2/7).
