Marketplace Roundup: Martin Kaymer Becomes Ambassador For Financial Institute Berenberg

German golfer Martin Kaymer "has signed a deal with financial institute Berenberg as a brand ambassador." As part of the partnership, the logo of the Hamburg-based private bank will be featured on Kaymer's cap. The bank has also been the title sponsor of the Berenberg Gary Player Invitationals in England and the U.S. since '14 (SPONSORs, 1/19). ... WRC Promoter has reinforced its alliance with Lexar under a new agreement for the digital memory solutions brand to become an official partner of the FIA World Rally Championship. Lexar is part of the U.S.-based Micron Group and a global brand of flash memory products, such as memory cards, USB flash drives, readers and storage drives (WRC). ... La Liga side Real Sociedad reached an agreement in which KirolBet becomes the club's official betting provider for the remainder of the current season as well as '16-17. KirolBet will receive promotional opportunities at the club's home stadium and across Real Sociedad's digital channels (Real Sociedad). ... Lagardère Sports announced a partnership that will see Sponsorship 360 join the company and help it build on its consulting and activation business. Created in '09 by Hervé Bodinier and Yann de la Fourchadière, Sponsorship 360 is dedicated to delivering solutions to brands in order to create communication platforms (Lagardère). ... Sports goods retailer Intersport "extended and expanded its sponsorship" of the Austrian FA (ÖFB). The new deal, "which will run for two years and includes an option to extend for a further year, sees Intersport designated as the official sports shop of the governing body," as well as the Austrian national football team and the ÖFB Samsung Cup, the country’s premier club knockout competition (SOCCEREX, 1/19).
